TCP/IP
Transmission

allows computers to communicate across interconnected networks
and the Internet. Every computer on the Internet supports TCP/IP.

program interface (TAPI)
A set of calls
that allows applications to control modems and telephones, by
routing application function calls to the appropriate “service
provider” DLL for a modem.
